Please Welcome Dr. Nirangive Satchi, Optometris  to our practice!

dr. Satchi welcomes new patients.

Dr. Nirangive Satchi, Optometrist

Dr. Satchi earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto, graduating with High Distinction. He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree in Chicago at the Illinois College of Optometry graduating Cum Laude. His clinical training is extensive and includes rotations through the Brooklyn Veterans Affairs hospital, Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago, Illinois Eye Institute, and Southeast Eye Specialists in Tallahassee, Florida.

Throughout his training, he learned to treat and manage common ocular conditions including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, and dry eye syndrome. His training also provided emphasis on specialty contact lenses, low vision, and pediatric optometry. Dr. Satchi is certified in both the United States and Canada after successfully completing the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and Canadian Assessment of Competence in Optometry. He is certified to provide therapeutic pharmaceutical agents to treat and manage ocular disease in both the USA and Canada.

Dr. Satchi’s areas of interest include primary open-angle glaucoma, contact lenses, and the treatment of dry eye syndrome. He strongly believes in providing standard of care optometry with an emphasis on patient interaction.

Chair time in the exam lane should be a memorable part of every patient’s day and should not be rushed. As well, every patient should leave their eye exam having learned something of value. This is his mantra.

OHIP Exams Update

As of November 23, 2021, Ontario Government agreed with a formal negotiation and Ontario optometrists agreed to resume service for OHIP insured patients during the negotiations. We do our best to accommodate as many patients we could. We started booking from our long waiting list that has been built up since September. We continue adding patients to our list and try to see as many patients as possible without compromising our high quality eye care services.

If you wish to be added to our waiting list please kindly use our online appointment request form. We really appreciate your patience, understanding and support! In the meantime please visit and let the government know you care about your eye care and this is the government’s responsibility to pay for your eye care, not your optometrist.
